FAQs

Most coaching works at one level — the mind.
Bloom & Flourish works across five.
What sets this practice apart is the depth and integration of the approach. Rather than relying on a single method, sessions draw from a refined combination of five complementary modalities — ICF-Accredited Life Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Havening Techniques, Somatic Embodiment Coaching, and EFT Tapping and Shadow Work — each chosen and blended to meet you exactly where you are.
This means we are not only working with your thoughts and goals. We are also working with your nervous system, your body, your subconscious patterns and the deeper stories that may be quietly shaping your life beneath the surface.
The result is transformation that is not just intellectual — it is felt, embodied and lasting.
At Bloom & Flourish, I guide you through a signature process called Remembering, Reigniting and Redesigning:

• Remembering who you truly are beneath the conditioning, expectations and old narratives
• Reigniting your connection to clarity, energy, self-trust and purpose
• Redesigning your life from a place of alignment, confidence and embodied wisdom

This is not surface-level coaching. It is a neurobiologically grounded, bespoke experience designed to create real, sustainable change — with elegance, depth and care.
If you have tried coaching or therapy before and felt it only scratched the surface, this integrated approach may be exactly what you have been looking for.
Transformational coaching is a holistic, forward focused process that helps you reconnect with who you truly are. Through transformational coaching you can move beyond old patterns, expectations or self-doubt.
It combines practical tools with deep reflection to create real, lasting change from within.
At Bloom & Flourish, coaching is not about “fixing”, it’s about remembering your strength, reigniting your energy and redesigning your life around what truly matters to you.
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. In simple terms, it is a way of understanding how your mind works, specifically, how your thoughts, language and patterns of behaviour are connected, and how they can be gently and effectively changed.
We all carry patterns of thinking that were formed years ago, things like beliefs about ourselves, habits of self-talk, automatic responses to certain situations. Many of these patterns no longer serve us, but because they feel so familiar, we often do not even notice they are there.
NLP provides practical, proven techniques to identify these patterns and replace them with ones that genuinely support the life you want to live. It can help with everything from building confidence and overcoming self-doubt to improving communication and making decisions with greater clarity.
In our sessions, NLP is woven in naturally alongside the other modalities. You will not need to study or understand the theory, you will simply experience the shift.
Somatic coaching is an approach that includes your body, not just your mind, in the process of change.
The word “somatic” simply means “of the body.” Most of us have been taught to think our way through challenges, but research in neuroscience now shows us that many of our deepest patterns such as stress responses, emotional reactions, self-protective habits, are held in the body, not just the mind.
You might notice this as tension in your shoulders when you feel overwhelmed, a tight chest when you are anxious, a heaviness you cannot quite explain, or a sense of disconnection from yourself. These are not just physical sensations , they are your body’s way of communicating important information.
Somatic and embodied coaching helps you tune into these signals, understand what they are telling you, and gently release what is no longer serving you. This might involve simple breathwork, body awareness practices, grounding exercises or guided movement, all done at your own pace and within your comfort zone.
The result is a deeper sense of safety in your own body, greater emotional regulation, and a feeling of being truly connected to yourself, often for the first time in a long time.
You do not need to be physically active, flexible or experienced in any body-based practice. This is gentle, accessible and deeply supportive.
Havening Techniques® are a gentle, neuroscience-based approach that works directly with your nervous system to release the emotional charge held in difficult or distressing memories, experiences and patterns.
When we go through stressful, overwhelming or traumatic experiences, our brains can encode those moments in a way that keeps our nervous system on high alert, even years later. This can show up as anxiety, phobias, a feeling of being “stuck,” chronic stress, or emotional responses that feel disproportionate to the situation at hand.
Havening uses a specific form of soothing touch (which you apply to yourself), combined with guided visualisation and distraction techniques, to change the way these experiences are stored in the brain. The process is calm, safe and often surprisingly quick in its effects.
Clients frequently describe feeling lighter, calmer and more at ease after Havening, as though a weight they did not fully realise they were carrying has been gently lifted.
No previous experience is needed. I will guide you through everything, and you remain in complete control throughout.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a practice that involves gently tapping on specific acupressure points on the face and body while focusing on a particular emotion, belief or experience. It is sometimes called “tapping” and is a well researched technique that has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and emotional intensity.
EFT works by sending calming signals to the part of the brain responsible for your stress response (the amygdala), helping to reduce the emotional charge associated with difficult thoughts or memories. Many clients find it remarkably effective and surprisingly easy to learn and use between sessions as a self-care tool.

Shadow Work is a term for the process of gently exploring the parts of yourself that you may have pushed aside, hidden or learned to suppress, often from a very young age. These might include emotions like anger, grief, vulnerability or certain needs and desires that you were taught were not acceptable.
These hidden parts do not disappear. They often drive our behaviour in ways we do not fully understand often showing up as self-sabotage, procrastination, people-pleasing or a nagging sense that something is “off.”
Shadow work is not about dwelling in the past or opening wounds. It is about bringing compassionate awareness to all parts of who you are, so that nothing is running your life from behind the scenes. When we integrate these parts, clients often experience a profound sense of wholeness, freedom and self-acceptance.
Both EFT and shadow work are introduced gently and only when relevant to your journey. There is never any pressure to go anywhere you are not ready to go.
Each session is calm, focused and completely confidential.
You’ll have space to talk freely, explore insights and experiment with new perspectives.
Depending on what’s most supportive, we may integrate NLP techniques, Havening, Somatics, EFT tapping or embodied coaching to help release tension, shift patterns and restore clarity.
Not at all. Many clients come to coaching simply knowing that something needs to shift.
Our first conversation is a space to explore what feels most present and uncover where you’d like to focus.
From there, we’ll gently clarify your priorities and shape a path that feels aligned and achievable.
Transformation unfolds differently for everyone.
Some clients experience immediate clarity after a single session; others prefer to work more deeply over several months.
What matters most is consistency and creating space for reflection and integration between sessions.
The 4-session programme supports clarity and momentum, while the 8-session journey allows for deeper and more sustainable transformation.
Coaching is for anyone ready to pause, reflect and grow with intention.
There’s no preparation needed, simply a willingness to be curious and honest with yourself.
Our first discovery session allows you to experience the process before committing, so you can see how it feels and what it can unlock for you.
No — coaching is distinct from therapy.
While therapy often focuses on healing the past, coaching centres on the present and future: creating clarity, action and momentum.
That said, therapy and coaching are two modalities that often compliment each other and both can often feel deeply healing, as we integrate both emotional and practical awareness.
Coaching is a powerful process but it’s not the right fit for everyone.
It may not be suitable if you’re:
-Seeking quick fixes or instant results.
-Unwilling to reflect, take responsibility or explore change within yourself.
-Looking for therapy, counselling, or crisis intervention.
-Not yet ready to take small, consistent steps toward growth.

Coaching is most effective when you’re ready to engage with curiosity, honesty and an openness to change even if it's gently.
This work honours your readiness and your rhythm. When you’re truly ready, it can be life-changing.
The discovery session is designed to help us both explore that.
You’ll get a sense of the coaching style, the rhythm of conversation and how supported you feel in the process.
It’s about mutual connection and trust, you’ll know if it feels right.
Sessions take place online via a private zoom link which offers flexibility and ease wherever you are.
So you’re welcome to create a calm space for yourself ... light a candle, pour tea and sit somewhere quiet.
Many clients find that being in the comfort of their own environment allows them to open up and integrate more easily.
Coaching is an investment in clarity, balance, and long-term fulfilment.
It’s not just about time — it’s about creating lasting change that impacts how you think, feel, and live.
